Eurobase appoints award winning Financial Director

Eurobase International Group has announced the appointment of Ian Little, BA(Hons), ACA, as Group Financial Director.

Ian is a senior finance professional who trained with Deloitte in London within its Corporate Recovery department.
Before joining Eurobase, Ian worked for the Access Technology Group from 1997. He was appointed Finance Director in 2000 and played a key part in leading the business through a number of acquisitions and a period of significant organic growth. During his 14 years with Access, Ian helped the business develop and grow successfully, generating profit and cash in every year. Ian’s contribution to Access was recognised by the profession in his Accountancy Age award in 2010 as FD of the year for growing businesses. In 2011 the business was sold via a PE (Lyceum Capital) backed MBO.
Prior to Access, Ian held corporate recovery roles at KPMG and Ernst and Young and worked as an Insolvency Manager at the start of his career at Deloitte.
Ian brings to Eurobase a blend of accounting, finance and commercial skills and experience. Ian’s time at Access gave him a detailed knowledge of the software industry and, specifically, of a software business achieving prolonged and profitable growth in a market dominated by major multinationals (Microsoft and Sage). Ian’s formative years within the business recovery sector gave him a thorough understanding of what makes a business work (or otherwise) as well as a commercial flair and an ability to understand and act on this knowledge. Ian’s experience extends well beyond the finance department as he looks to contribute across the whole of the business.
Speaking about his appointment, Ian said: “I have been fortunate to work with some great people and had success within a tremendous team building a software and consulting business into a market leader against significantly larger competition. I am looking forward to using my skills and experience to help the team at Eurobase continue to grow the business. Eurobase is in a great position to continue its development into a world leader in its markets and I’m delighted to be joining John and the team on this quest.”
Eurobase International Group Chairman, John Wilson, said: “It is exciting to bring a professional of Ian’s calibre and background into this key role for Eurobase. The Main Board and I are looking forward to working with him during this exciting period of growth for the Group.”
