Colonial roll out Eurobase Insurance Solution's synergy to multiple territories

Colonial Group International (CGI), with offices in Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and British Virgin Islands, has gone into production in two of its P and C locations, with Eurobase’s underwriting platform, synergy.

Eurobase Insurance Solutions, a leading global software and services provider whose products cover specialty lines, reinsurance, and general insurance and is part of the Eurobase International Group, today announced that Colonial Group International (CGI), a group of specialised providers  of insurance and employee benefits with offices in Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and British Virgin Islands, has gone into production in two of its P and C locations, with Eurobase’s underwriting platform, Synergy. Eurobase’s  Synergy GI automatically rates CGI premiums as designated by the product model, and covers the full business cycle: from quotation through policy; mid-term adjustments, claims; accounting; reinsurance to MIS and document production.

“Following a competitive tender process, CGI selected Eurobase’s synergy as its general insurance underwriting system for P&C business. This was followed by an implementation study, and workshops as part of the initial phase of the organisation wide project. Further phases of the implementation saw CGI’s Bermudian operations convert ten years of detailed data and go-live in October 2011, and more recently, Colonial BVI in the British Virgin Islands commenced their conversion and rollout, going live in April 2013, completing phase three of the project. Phase four is currently in progress and will see the conversion of data and rollout of CGI’s Cayman operation’s data, plus some functional enhancements before go-live, which is currently scheduled for November 2013. The final phase of the implementation plan will encompass the Bahamian operation in the first quarter of 2014”.  Said Ian Cummings, Vice-President, IT.

“We are pleased to be continuing the territorial rollout of synergy for CGI.” Said Ian Bishop, Client Services Director, Eurobase Insurance Solutions. “The implementation is an excellent example of a collaborative project between a client and a software solutions provider. The input and support from CGI during the whole project cycle has been tremendous, and has enabled us to deliver a functionally rich system into their workplace. We are looking forward to an excellent long term relationship and supporting their business growth going forward.” He added
