Carib to take number one spot in Bahamas with Eurobase Synergy

London Carib Insurance Agency Ltd, a Bahamas-based broker and agent, is replacing its IT infrastructure and has selected Eurobase Insurance Solutions' Synergy product as the new application of choice.

The Synergy underwriting software will drive new levels of automation and efficiencies throughout the company.  The system was selected following a competitive audit carried out by the agency’s UK insurance affiliate, Cooper Gay.

Formed in 1965, Carib places the majority of its business with its associate company Commonwealth General Insurance Co. Ltd.  And 75% of its reinsurance is placed at Lloyd’s and the Companies market. Its broad classes of personal and commercial insurance include marine, medical, fire, accident and property.

Albert Archer, Managing Director of Carib Insurance Agency Ltd, said:
“We believe a robust operational infrastructure will allow us to achieve our mission of becoming the best insurance company in the Bahamas.  As our IT system is high on our list of priorities, we are continually looking for systems that enable us to keep pace with technological advancements. With professional guidance from Cooper Gay, we selected Eurobase Insurance Solutions as our partner of choice.”

“This investment has been made to further automate our operations and help us establish new underwriting and loss control techniques.  It also supports our goal to improve competitiveness and promote a higher quality of customer service. Synergy will allow us to meet these business objectives and its inbuilt flexibility will enable to support both our broker and agent businesses
